In order to clean the radiator, car owners use ordinary water, water with acid, as well as auto chemicals. Water is the least suitable for removing dirt and other compounds from the radiator. But due to limited choices, many people use water. Distilled water is ideal, but boiled water will do. However, due to the fact that the water is run through the system several times, a scale can form inside, and the method of cleaning itself is not particularly effective. Even boiling water will not remove most of the compounds. Acid water is used when the water you’ve distilled through the system has left scale in it. - Dispersants (preventing particles that have already “come off” the surface to be cleaned from sticking back).
