Advantages of lifting Jeep Wrangler
Improved off-road performance is the primary benefit of lifting a Jeep Wrangler. Some disadvantages of lifting a Jeep Wrangler include decreased fuel consumption, a higher center of gravity, more stress on the drivetrain and drive, and a likelihood that you will roll the vehicle increased. Jeep Wranglers are already considered at fairly high risk of rolling and offer little protection in the event of an accident, so increasing the added risk by installing an elevator is not something to view lightly.
Simply put, jacking up your Jeep will increase the likelihood of mechanical failure and accidents, and may void your vehicle’s manufacturer’s warranty as well. Size of Lifting Kits

Smaller elevators allow you to add slightly larger tires and give you ever so slightly more ground clearance on trails. A 2-inch or 4-inch elevator should not drastically change the way your Jeep runs or drives.
Larger elevators are more expensive, often require modification to other parts of the vehicle besides the suspension, and will drastically affect the way your Jeep Wrangler handles, both on pavement and off-road. Larger elevators provide much more ground clearance than smaller elevators, giving large amounts of ground clearance and even allowing a Jeep to cross water without getting its engine wet.

Wrangler YJ

In 2011, the car received a new, completely redesigned interior. In 2012, the 3.8 gasoline engine was replaced by a new, more powerful and economical 3.6-liter Chrysler Pentastar engine.
